A non Governmental organisation, CancerAware Nigeria in partnership with University College London Global Engagement Funds Programme will be holding a conference on cancer titled ”Towards better prevention and detection of cervical cancer” which will take place at the Surgical Skill Seminar Hall, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Surulere, Lagos by 9am to 3pm on the 4th September, 2019.
The Executive Director, Tolu Falowo is championing the cause of this event which is a One Kind Act Foundation Initiative aimed at educating all and sundry on how to prevent and detect cervical cancer in all females.
According to Falowo, Cervical cancer is a preventable cancer which can occur in adult women and is mainly caused by the HPV virus.
To this end, there are limited spaces available and participants are advised to register online through bit.ly/cervicalcancerconference which is supported by the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON) and Gynaecological Oncology Society of Nigeria (GOSON).
